Pride Center of Vermont is facing a critical funding pause, and community support is more important than ever. This year’s Quilt with a Cause fundraiser gives you a chance to win a handmade quilt while helping Pride Center work toward reopening essential programs.

About This Fundraiser

This is the second annual Fabric + Feed “Quilt with a Cause” project. Each year, I raffle off a quilt I’ve made to raise money for a Vermont nonprofit doing important work in our community.

Last year, we raised more than $1,000 for the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont’s emergency fund. I’m hopeful we can create that same momentum again for an organization that means a lot to so many Vermonters.

This year, all proceeds go directly to the Pride Center of Vermont.

Materials: 100% cotton fabrics and batting

This quilt was created as part of the 2024 Block of the Month program I ran at Yankee Pride Quilt Shop in Essex Junction, VT. It’s a bright, graphic design with clean lines, pieced and quilted in my home studio.

How to Enter

1. Donate to Pride Center of Vermont

Donate directly on their website and select the “Fabric + Feed: Quilt with a Cause Raffle” campaign so your entry is counted.

2. Get Entries

For every $10 donated (before fees), you’ll receive one entry into the raffle.

$50 donation = 5 entries
$100 donation = 10 entries

No extra steps are required.
Pride Center of Vermont will track all donations and tally entries.

3. Winner Selection

I’ll work directly with the Pride Center team to select a winner once the raffle closes.

Why It Matters

Earlier this fall, Pride Center of Vermont announced a temporary pause in operations due to major funding shortages. They need community support to stabilize staffing and restore essential programming that LGBTQ+ Vermonters rely on.

Their mission:
“To celebrate, educate, and advocate with and for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Vermonters.”

Your donation helps make that future possible.

Do I need to live in Vermont to enter?
No. If you win, I’m happy to arrange shipping. I will cover the cost of shipping within the US.

Is the donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Pride Center of Vermont is a registered nonprofit.

Do I need to send you proof of my donation?
No. Pride Center will keep a running tally of all donations and entries.

Can I donate more than once?
Absolutely. Every $10 counts as one entry, no matter how you split it up.
